BC3’s Lonhro Filly pushes sale claim
BC3 Thoroughbreds filly, Deer Valley, continues to perform in front of potential buyers with another strong performance, taking out Tuesday’s Queens Park 2YO handicap at Royal Randwick over 1200metres. Racing on the speed, she handled the 57 kg well before defeating another Lonhro filly, the strong finishing Counterpane, by head in a time of 1:15.
The win takes her record to 2 wins from 4 starts and she is proving one of the shining lights for the new 2YO organisation BC3 Thoroughbreds. Trainer Chris Waller, whilst pleased with her run, sees further improvement in the filly. “It’s all come very quickly this preparation for her and she only trialled last Friday. I’d like to find a Stakes race or two for her during the carnival”

A weekend treble followed up by today’s Randwick quinella, has reinforced the wonderful year Lonhro has enjoyed as a second-year stallion. It is expected Deer Valley will sell quickly, but for those unfortunate enough to miss out, buyers would be wise to investigate the BC3 Thoroughbreds Future Stars preview day on August 23 where they will be showcasing 2 Lonhro 2YO colts as part of their 2009 draft.
